Halloween Costume Horror

So, I spent the better part of my Sunday driving all around North Jersey in search for a Halloween costume. Yes, I know, I’m a little late to the party for costume shopping – I just don’t know where the time goes. After three stores, about 30 different costumes and a pit stop for hotdogs, I ended up coming home empty-handed.

I was shopping with my boyfriend and cousin. In every store, like a true guy who is forced to go shopping, my boyfriend found somewhere to sit with his eyes glued to his fantasy football. How dare I take him out on Football Sunday! My cousin tried on a ridiculous amount of costumes and each worse than the next. A nurse, a 50’s girl, a firefighter (three versions of a firefighter), Wonder Woman, a flapper girl. These costumes clearly are not true to size, nor do they look anything like what’s pictured on the outside of the bag. We came to the conclusion that next year a costume from a bag is just not an option. Home made is the way to go!

Long story short, it’s October 26th and I am costume-less. Hopefully I’ll be able to pull something together – and quickly! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween! Eat lots of candy and don’t feel bad about it!
